White Lake Provincial Park | Ontario

White Lake Provincial Park is a natural environment park on the Lake Superior Circle Route, with seasonal camping, day use, group camping, sandy beaches, fishing, swimming, trails, and interpretive programs. Ontario Parks lists the park at 4,048 hectares, established in 1963.

The park is centred on White Lake, which Ontario Parks describes as a 6,500 hectare lake and one of the largest lakes on the Lake Superior Circle Route.

Why Visit White Lake Provincial Park

Ontario Parks highlights very good fishing for Walleye and Northern Pike, warm waters and sandy beaches for swimming, interpretive programs featuring the natural and cultural heritage of the area, and three nature trails through boreal forest.

White Lake also works well for road-trip travellers because the official page notes its proximity to White River, home of Winnie the Pooh's Hometown Festival. That gives campers a nearby community angle in addition to the lake, trails, and fishing.

The shorter northern operating season makes early reservation and date checks more important than at many southern Ontario campgrounds.

Things To Do

Plan around car camping, group camping, swimming, sandy beaches, Walleye and Northern Pike fishing, boating where appropriate, canoeing, hiking three nature trails, interpretive programs, boreal forest photography, and White River side trips.

Planning Notes

Ontario Parks lists White Lake day use and camping from May 15 to September 20, 2026. Confirm campsite and group camping reservations, beach and water conditions, fishing rules, interpretive program dates, trail access, alerts, facility hours, and park rules through the official Ontario Parks source before travelling.
