North Beach Provincial Park | Ontario

North Beach Provincial Park is a 94 hectare recreational park at 440 North Beach Road in Consecon. Ontario Parks lists the park as established in 1970 and describes it as a quieter park than its more famous neighbour, Sandbanks.

The park's defining feature is a ribbon of sand more than one kilometre long that shelters tiny North Beach from Lake Ontario. Ontario Parks says the sandy beach is a great place to picnic on a summer day.

Why Visit North Beach Provincial Park

North Beach is a focused day-use beach page for visitors looking for Lake Ontario sand, swimming, boating, and picnicking without planning an overnight stay. Ontario Parks notes that visitors can swim or boat in the sheltered waters of the bay or the more open Lake Ontario.

The facility and activity icons reinforce the day-use character. Dog beach, canoeing, fishing, and boating are listed, while car camping, backcountry camping, group camping, seasonal camping, winter camping, hiking, and many other activities are not listed as available.

Because the park is a beach destination, conditions can matter as much as the map. Wind, waves, water safety, day-use capacity, and seasonal facility hours should be checked before making the trip.

Things To Do

Plan around beach time, swimming where conditions allow, bay or Lake Ontario boating, fishing regulation checks, picnicking, dog beach planning, shoreline photography, and quiet day-use time.

Planning Notes

Confirm day-use availability, parking, beach conditions, water safety, dog beach rules, boating conditions, facility hours, alerts, weather, and park rules through Ontario Parks.
