Grant's Creek Provincial Park | Ontario

Grant's Creek Provincial Park is a waterway park between Bissett Creek and Mackey, about 10 kilometres from either location. Ontario Parks lists the park at 1,444 hectares, established in 2006.

The park is administered through Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park, and the official page says there is a boat launch within the park.

Why Visit Grant's Creek Provincial Park

Grant's Creek protects a provincially significant wetland and provides an ecological link to Algonquin Park. Ontario Parks says the forest surrounding the creek is dominated by white pine, red pine, and poplar.

The creek winds through a number of cold-water trout lakes. It also includes small waterfalls and a scenic waterslide closer to the Ottawa River, giving the waterway a more varied identity than a simple wetland listing.

For long-tail planning, Grant's Creek is useful for visitors researching waterway parks east of Algonquin, wetland protection, cold-water trout lake systems, and lower-key paddling or boating logistics where official access allows.

The boat launch note makes the park more practical than many sparse waterway listings, but the same caution still applies: a launch does not automatically mean camping, washrooms, rentals, or staffed services are available.

Things To Do

Plan around boat launch checks, waterway route research, wetland and pine forest context, trout lake awareness, waterfall and waterslide scenery, fishing regulation checks, map review, and nearby serviced parks or communities.

Planning Notes

Confirm access, boat launch status, maps, water levels, fishing regulations, wetland sensitivity, camping permissions, alerts, seasonal conditions, weather, and park rules through the official Ontario Parks source before travelling.
