Devil's Glen Provincial Park is a small recreational park on the Niagara Escarpment, off Highway 24 south of Collingwood. Ontario Parks lists the park at 60.19 hectares, established in 1965.
This is a foot-access park with a focused visitor experience. Ontario Parks says the park is gated and only accessible by foot, and that camping and fires are not allowed.
Devil's Glen protects a steep escarpment landscape 518 metres above sea level. Ontario Parks describes rock outcrops, forested slopes, wetlands, and a geologically significant incised river valley.
The parks signature landform is the steep gorge carved by meltwater from the last retreating glacier. Today, the Mad River winds through that gorge on an irregular route.
For visitors, the big draws are Bruce Trail access and a viewing platform with a scenic view of the Niagara Escarpment. The park works best as a hiking and viewpoint stop for people who are comfortable with foot-only access and rules that keep the site low-impact.
Because this is not a camping park, planning should focus on trail conditions, parking, weather, and respecting the gated access setup.
Plan around hiking, Bruce Trail access, Niagara Escarpment viewing, gorge and river valley geology, forested slope and wetland observation, photography from appropriate viewpoints, and nearby Collingwood or Wasaga Beach area services.
Confirm access, parking, maps, Bruce Trail conditions, no-camping and no-fire rules, viewpoint availability, alerts, seasonal footing, weather, and park rules through the official Ontario Parks source before travelling.
