Plan Ten Mile Lake Park near Quesnel with sandy beaches, camping, boat launch, fishing, nature trails, winter skiing, ice fishing, pet rules, and ORV limits.
Ten Mile Lake Park is about 12 kilometres north of Quesnel on Highway 97. BC Parks describes a popular recreational destination with attractive campsites, showers, a large picnic area, flush toilets, three sandy beaches, a boat launch, and strong fishing.
The park also has trails that work in both summer and winter.
Why Visit Ten Mile Lake Park
Ten Mile Lake is a family-friendly Cariboo park for camping, swimming, boating, fishing, and short forest walks. The park has three long sandy beaches with two buoyed swim areas, plus canoeing, kayaking, waterskiing, and rainbow trout fishing from shore or boat.
Ten kilometres of trails invite hiking and cycling, and a two-kilometre self-guided nature trail follows an abandoned rail grade to a beaver pond with a lodge, dams, and Ducks Unlimited nest boxes. In winter, trails become roughly 10 kilometres of cross-country ski routes, with snowshoeing, skating, and ice fishing also listed by BC Parks.
Things To Do
Camp, swim without lifeguards, paddle, fish with the proper licence, waterski, hike the nature trail, cycle signed routes, ski or snowshoe in winter, ice fish, skate when ice is safe, and reserve picnic shelters when needed.
Planning Notes
Off-road vehicles, including ATVs, off-road motorcycles, snowmobiles, and side-by-sides, are prohibited. Pets must be leashed and kept out of beach areas and buildings. Hikers have right-of-way on shared trails, helmets are mandatory for cyclists, and e-bikes are permitted only on signed or designated trails that meet BC Parks cycling guidelines. Stay on trails to protect plants and soil.
