Martha Creek Park is on the western shore of the Revelstoke reservoir, about 20 kilometres north of Revelstoke on Highway 23. BC Parks says it is the only provincial park on the reservoir, with campsites, a wharf, a paved boat launch, fishing, and one of the few sandy beaches in the area.
The park is a 15-minute drive from Revelstoke and works well for camping, boating, and lake recreation.
Martha Creek is built around easy reservoir access. Campers and day users can use the coarse sand and pebble beach, a 300-metre flat beach area, the boat launch, the wharf, an adventure playground, indoor picnic shelter, sport field, and volleyball net.
BC Parks also lists 2.5 kilometres of easy hiking and walking multi-use trails, plus machine-built beginner cycling features such as rollers, embedded rollable objects, and low log rides. Fishing is popular with local anglers, and rainbow and bull trout are present. The park also supports wildlife viewing, from small mammals and hummingbirds to mule deer, moose, and occasional caribou.
Camp, swim, sunbathe, launch a boat, fish for rainbow or bull trout with the proper licence, canoe or kayak when conditions suit, use the multi-use trails, ride beginner bike features, picnic, and play at the sport field or playground.
There is no roped swimming area and no lifeguards. Keep pets leashed except in the off-leash water area, watch for bears and other wildlife, check fishing restrictions, and keep e-bikes off signed or designated trails.
