Gwyneth Lake Park | British Columbia

Gwyneth Lake Park is about 70 kilometres west of Lillooet and 60 kilometres north of Pemberton, accessed from the Hurley Forest Service Road. BC Parks describes a small lake and marsh that provide habitat for species associated with aquatic environments.

The park sits on the Hurley-Carpenter Lake road tour route from the Lower Mainland toward the Goldbridge-Bralorne area.

Why Visit Gwyneth Lake Park

Gwyneth Lake Park is a simple Class A provincial park for travellers who want a rustic stop rather than a developed destination. The park can serve destination and day-use visitors in the Goldbridge-Bralorne area, with opportunities for fishing, camping, picnicking, and use as a base for hiking and ATV touring outside the park.

The campground is deliberately modest. BC Parks says the 132-hectare park contains an old Forest Service style campground with six campsites and a pit toilet. All facilities are user-maintained, so visitors should arrive ready to look after themselves and leave the site in good condition.

Gwyneth Lake is popular for trout fishing. The lake is very small, which makes canoeing possible at a quiet scale but not a major paddling objective.

Things To Do

Plan around rustic camping, trout fishing, picnicking, small-lake canoeing, marsh and lake observation, day-use stops on the Hurley-Carpenter route, and using the area as a base for nearby hiking or ATV touring.

Planning Notes

Facilities are minimal and user-maintained. Bring drinking water, fishing licences, and backroad supplies. Keep pets leashed, pack out everything you bring in, and check Hurley Forest Service Road conditions before relying on the route.
