Green Inlet Marine Park protects the sheltered all-weather anchorage of Horsefly Cove and surrounding water on the east side of Tolmie Channel, across from Princess Royal Island. BC Parks places it about 196 kilometres south of Prince Rupert and west of Fiordland Recreation Area.
The park is boat-access only and has no facilities.
Green Inlet Marine Park is for experienced boaters who need a protected anchorage in a scenic North Coast fiord. Horsefly Cove is the official focus, while the nearby tidal lagoon of Green Inlet and the reversing rapids at Baffle Point are outside the park and identified as unnavigable.
The recreation is marine and self-reliant. Sea kayaking is possible, but BC Parks cautions that access is lengthy and requires experience. The official page suggests that it may be better to use a motorboat to reach the inlet, then use a kayak or canoe to explore locally.
Fishing for salmon and rockfish is possible. Wildlife viewing happens from the water, with marine mammals noted for the surrounding area. Supplies are available at Klemtu or Bella Bella, outside the park.
Plan around sheltered anchorage, scenic fiord boating, experienced sea kayaking, canoe exploration after motorboat access, salmon and rockfish fishing, cold-water coastal photography, and quiet marine wildlife observation.
Bring drinking water because potable water is not available. Campfires are not permitted and there are no developed trails. Use plenty of chain or rope for anchorage, and remember the entire North Coast area is closed to bivalve harvest.
