Ethel F. Wilson Memorial Park | British Columbia

Ethel F. Wilson Memorial Park is a small BC Parks site 24 kilometres north of Burns Lake. BC Parks says the park has been maintained close to its natural state and offers five campsites on a first-come, first-served basis.

The park is reached from Babine Lake Road and Augier Forest Service Road, where it sits immediately beside the road.

Why Visit Ethel F. Wilson Memorial Park

Ethel F. Wilson Memorial Park is a quiet Pinkut Lake escape for campers, paddlers, swimmers, and anglers. Rainbow trout fishing is a popular activity, and BC Parks notes that Pinkut Lake is well suited to small boats and has a fish hatchery at the south end.

Recreation is simple and lake-focused. Swimming is available, paddling includes canoeing and kayaking on Pinkut Lake, and bicycles must stay on roadways. E-bikes are not allowed on trails and are restricted to park roads and areas where motorized use is permitted.

The park is cooperatively managed by a community, society, or other partner, so services may differ from other BC Parks. It is dedicated to Ethel F. Wilson, who gave time and energy for the benefit of others, especially young people in the Burns Lake District, where she lived from 1930 until her death on June 14, 1952.

Things To Do

Plan around first-come camping, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, small-boat paddling, rainbow trout fishing with the required licence, fish hatchery context, roadway cycling, and quiet lake photography.

Planning Notes

Check current advisories before travelling, leash pets, bring fishing licences, and remember services may differ from other BC Parks because this park is cooperatively managed.
