Drewry Point Park is a boat-access BC Parks inland marine park on the west shore of Kootenay Lake, about 32 kilometres south of Balfour and across the lake from Boswell. BC Parks places it at the foot of the eastern slopes of the Selkirk Mountains Nelson Range.
The park is user maintained.
Drewry Point is for boaters, paddlers, anglers, swimmers, and tent campers seeking sheltered Kootenay Lake coves. BC Parks says the north and south bays provide protected moorage and make it easier to get out of the wind.
The park has secluded sand beaches and a picnic area. The north cove has a 50 metre sandy beach for swimming and boat landing, with camping on shore limited to three tenting sites. Paddling, canoeing, and kayaking are available, and BC Parks notes nearby trophy Gerrard trout fishing as well as fishing from shore and boat.
The two coves make wind planning central for small boats on Kootenay Lake.
Because it is boat-only and user maintained, Drewry Point is best planned as a low-impact, pack-it-out destination rather than a serviced campground.
Plan around boat-in camping, sheltered moorage, sandy beach swimming, canoeing, kayaking, Kootenay Lake fishing, shoreline picnicking, leashed-pet visits, mountain views, and quiet lake photography.
Bring drinking water because potable water is not available. Pack out garbage, practise no-trace camping, check wind and lake conditions, watch for wood ticks from March to June, leash pets, and avoid damaging flowers, trees, and shrubs.
