Brandywine Falls Park is a BC Parks day-use area off Highway 99, 47 kilometres north of Squamish. The park is named for Brandywine Falls, a 70 metre waterfall, and offers views of Daisy Lake and the surrounding mountains.
The park was tripled in size in 2010 to include habitat for red-legged frogs, a provincially blue-listed species at risk.
Brandywine Falls is an easy Sea to Sky stop with a dramatic waterfall payoff. BC Parks describes a 10 to 20 minute one-way walk across a covered footbridge and through forest to a viewing platform above the falls, with additional short viewpoints toward Daisy Lake and Black Tusk.
The park also has more than a single viewpoint. The Swim Lake Trail branches from the main trail before the railway crossing and leads over rougher ground to a small lake. The Sea to Sky Trail section runs about 1.5 kilometres toward the Whistler Bungee bridge over the Cheakamus River, and the 2.7 kilometre Lava Lake Trail crosses Brandywine Creek and wanders through pine forest and small lake areas.
Plan around waterfall viewing, short forest hikes, Daisy Lake viewpoints, wildlife watching, picnicking, Sea to Sky Trail cycling, Lava Lake Trail riding, and winter foot access when the off-season gate is closed.
Bring drinking water because potable water is not available. Stay out of the lower falls canyon because of unstable slopes and falling rock, stay behind fences, use caution crossing the rail line, and expect winter trails to be unmaintained.
