Alice Lake Park is a BC Parks site in the Sea to Sky region, off Highway 99 about 13 kilometres north of Squamish and 71 kilometres north of the Lions Gate Bridge in North Vancouver. BC Parks describes it as a popular family park with mountains, forest, grassy areas, and four freshwater lakes.
The park is a busy summer destination, especially for camping and day use.
Alice Lake is a classic Squamish-area park for lake swimming, family camping, fishing, paddling, and trail loops. BC Parks highlights the trail around Alice Lake for evening strolls, the Four Lakes Trail for more adventurous hikers, and DeBeck's Hill Trail for views of the Squamish River and Tantalus Range.
The park has two sandy beach areas with change houses, warm summer water, marked swimming areas, and a floating dock at South Beach. Canoes and kayaks are allowed, while motorized boats are not permitted.
Fishing opportunities are available in all four lakes for rainbow trout, Dolly Varden, and some cutthroat, though fishing is prohibited in marked swimming areas. Trail options include Four Lakes Trail, Mike's Loop, Stump Lake Loop Trail, Alice Lake Loop Trail, Swamp Lantern Interpretive Loop Trail, and several trails that leave the park.
Plan around camping, group camping, swimming, paddling, four-lake hiking, lakeside strolling, fishing, Discover Parks programs, Learn to Fish activities, mountain biking on permitted trails, e-biking where signed, and nearby Squamish bike routes.
Reserve well ahead for July, August, or September. Parking can fill on warm weekends, dogs are restricted from beaches and picnic areas, generators have limited hours, and some cycling closures apply seasonally.
