Nojack Provincial Recreation Area is an Alberta Parks recreation area in the Central region, two kilometres west of Nojack on Highway 16 and 10 kilometres east of Niton Junction. Alberta Parks lists one campground and no developed day-use area count.
The site has been divested to Yellowhead County under a long-term lease.
Nojack is a compact highway campground for travellers moving along the Yellowhead Highway. Alberta Parks says there are 24 campsites suitable for both RVs and tents, making it a useful stopping place for people travelling the corridor.
Activities include camping and picnicking. The official page directs visitors to Yellowhead County for additional information because of the long-term lease arrangement.
The site is small, at 8.05 acres or 3.26 hectares, in the Foothills - Lower Foothills Natural Region. That helps set expectations: Nojack is not a large destination park with beach facilities, boat launches, or a broad activity menu. It is a simple overnight or picnic stop with highway access.
Special permit categories include agricultural grazing or haying, commercial filming and photography, fishing, guiding or outfitting, hunting, industrial activity, scientific research and collection, special events, and trapping. Visitors should confirm current operating details with the county before relying on services.
Plan around RV or tent camping, picnic stops, Highway 16 travel breaks, campground map review, Yellowhead County updates, and low-service overnight planning.
Confirm campground operation, leaseholder information, site availability, services, fire rules, maps, advisories, weather, road conditions, and Alberta Parks updates.
