The lake has two docks where visitors can fish or sit and enjoy the view. The campground also includes eight equine sites with horse pens, hitching posts, and manure bins. Alberta Parks notes that sandy wagon trails in the area provide excellent footing for horses.

Activities include beach use, birding, camping, canoeing and kayaking, electric motors only, fishing, backcountry hiking, front-country hiking, equestrian use, horseshoes, mountain biking and cycling, sailing, snowshoeing, swimming, wildlife viewing, and electric bicycles.

The official management details list the site as 191.52 acres, or 77.51 hectares, in the Boreal Forest - Dry Mixedwood Natural Region. Special permit categories include fishing, hunting, guiding, filming, grazing or haying, research, special events, industrial activity, and trapping.
