Dunvegan Provincial Park is an Alberta Parks provincial park on the northern shore of the Peace River, 21 kilometres southwest of Fairview on Highway 2 where the bridge crosses the river.
Alberta Parks says there is no cellphone service in the park, and current construction notices affect water availability and campground access.
Dunvegan is both a provincial park and a historic resource. Alberta Parks describes it as provincially and nationally designated, with a 67-site campground in parkland forest, valley and Peace River views, nature opportunities, and educational programming.
Historic Dunvegan is part of the park. The provincial historic site includes a Hudson's Bay Company Factor's House, St. Charles Church, and rectory. The Visitor Centre is open from May 15 to the first Monday in September, with tours offered.
The official page lists one day-use area and one campground, with activities including camping, fishing, and front-country hiking. Visitors can explore neighbouring Dunvegan Gardens, riverside trails, the Visitor Centre, and restored historic buildings. Alberta Parks also notes the park is at the north end of Alberta's only suspension bridge, and a public boat launch is on the south shore of the Peace River.
Plan around camping, day use, Historic Dunvegan tours, visitor centre stops, riverside walks, Peace River views, fishing checks, gardens, and bridge context.
