Picturesque Location and Wildlife

Accomodations You will find us situated where the Brown and Williams Creeks meet, near Red Deer River. We're nestled into the foothills terrain among towering pine, spruce, and aspen trees. Close to Banff National Park and Banff accomodations, Red Deer River Ranches was established in 1890 by John Morgan, and it has been an active cattle ranch ever since. The ranch land mass boasts just over 50,000 acres, which in comparison, is about the size of over 45,000 football fields.

Enjoy wild life viewing including deer, elk, moose, coyotes, wolves, black bears and grizzly bears, cougars, bald eagles, golden eagles, and numerous other animals. One of our favorites are bands of wild horses that can be seen from in and around Red Deer River Ranches. Within the ranch lands as many as 100 horses make this their home and can be viewed from horseback or by vehicle.
