Vancouver, Coast and Mountains | Travel & Tourism Information Guide

Vancouver Coast and Mountain tourism region is a perfect setting for outdoor adventure. Cycle, hike, camp, kayak, golf, ski or snowboard - the recreation activities are endless.

The Vancouver Coast and Mountain tourism region has an amazing range of scenery and terrain as well as unlimited activities and culture. From the cosmopolitan and trendy neighbourhoods of downtown Vancouver with it’s sophisticated shops and superb dining to the rainforests and secluded coves of the Sunshine Coast.

Vancouver, one of BC tourist attractions, is nestled at the foot of the stately peaks of the Coast Mountain range. The backdrop of the region is the coniferous green forest that envelops the mountains. Vancouver is located on the Pacific Ocean.

Traveling northwest from the Greater Vancouver to the Sunshine Coast and onto Desolation Sound, the stunning scenery does not disappoint nor does the exceptional fishing and scuba diving.

Northeast of Greater Vancouver is the famous resort area of Whistler, home to many of the events for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Whistler is a skier’s dream!

East from Greater Vancouver is Mighty Fraser Country through which runs the Fraser River one of the world's greatest salmon-producing river systems.
